Benefits of Juicing

We all hear that we need to eat 6 to 8 servings of fruits and vegetables to be healthy. But how can we do this? We have busy lives and it’s hard to get all the nutrients we need so that we can be at our maximum. Juicing can offer many benefits to those who seek health
The biggest benefit of juicing is that in one 8 ounce glass of fresh juice, you are drinking about 3-4 daily servings of fruits and vegetables. So, juice carrots, spinach, ginger, apples, kale and any other vegetable or fruit you may like. If 2 pieces of fruit, a salad and some steamed vegetables, you have reached your daily goal!! I always have a green juice mid-morning. I juice enough to have another glass right before dinner. These 2 glasses a day give me energy and make me feel great.
If you have health problems, juicing is even more important and beneficial.

The second benefit of juicing is that you are drinking fruits and vegetables that you probably wouldn’t eat. If you did eat them, they would most certainly be cooked. By being cooked, the vegetables lose most of their nutrients, enzymes and antioxidants. All the lost nutrients are essential to your body. Enzymes are important to proper digestion and antioxidants are necessary to fight disease. When you drink a fresh juice all the nutrients, enzymes and antioxidants remain intact and thus benefit your body 100%.

In summary, juicing provides your body with:

- Water
- Proteins
- Carbohydrates
- Essential fatty acids
- Vitamins
- Minerals
- Enzymes

How can we resist?

Juice Recipe:

Total Bliss

2 handfuls organic spinach or kale

This juice gives me a calming energy, as well as the sense of well-being. I have it every day. It provides all the nutrients and enzymes that I need.

If produce is not organic, make sure to peel it or wash it before juicing. Organic produce is always preferable to avoid pesticides.
Cut the produce to fit your feeding tube and enjoy!
